Dancesport Software makes Dancesport.app, the ballroom dance competition management platform that runs an event end to end, and takes scrutineering engagements.

Our competition management platform. It runs an event end to end — from partnerships and entries, through the schedule and the judging panels, to the final placements. One platform that every role signs into, on the floor and off it.

About

Nearly ten years in the making

Dancesport Software, LLC was founded in 2018 by Yubing Hou, a senior software engineer who has been dancing since 2011 and writing software for this sport almost as long. He holds a master's degree in software engineering, competes in Standard at the national level, and is a certified scrutineer.

Dancesport.app is the fifth attempt at this system across nearly a decade. Four earlier ones did not survive; each handed its design to the next. What made it out of the workshop keeps that design and replaces everything underneath it.

The company is based in Wisconsin, USA and works with organizers, studios, officials, and dancers across the ballroom community.
